Interpreting

On-site interpreting for small meetings or large events.

LexWorks’ interpreters are experienced professionals who work in a wide range of languages.

Simultaneous Interpretation: for lectures and seminars

Simultaneous interpretation takes place as the words are spoken and therefore does not prolong the meeting or speech. This mode of interpretation, which requires special equipment (interpreting booth, headsets, microphone) is perfectly suited to meetings and lectures attended by a large number of participants.

Consecutive Interpretation: for meetings and conference calls with your international partners

This mode eliminates all communication problems during meetings and conference calls with international partners. Since consecutive interpretation involves interpretation of a sequence of a speech after the speaker has finished, it is well adapted to short sessions or meetings with a small number of participants. No technical equipment is required; however, meeting times need to be extended to accommodate the consecutive interpretation.

Liaison Interpretation: for business negotiations

This interpreting mode enables a number of people speaking different languages to communicate with one another. The interpreter is seated beside one or two participants and whispers the translation to them. No equipment is required.

Video Interpretation: for one-to-one conversations and small meetings

Increasingly, video is being selected as a cost-efficient mode of interpreting. In addition to a computer and monitor, a fast internet connection is needed as well as a headset or microphone and speakers. On the customer side, a camera is optional. The interpreter will be visible onscreen for the duration of the session.
